About poster presentations
Poster presentations are a central component of the BMJ Research Forum South Asia, showcasing research and quality improvement work that demonstrates how health research is translated into real-world impact with respect to innovations, implementation, and lessons (with a focus on South Asia and similar contexts)
We invite work that demonstrates how research is:
- Translated into clinical practice, policy, or health system change
- Implemented effectively in real-world settings, particularly in resource-diverse environments
- Adapted to address local challenges and contextual realities
Generating measurable improvements in patient outcomes, access, equity, or system performance
Posters offer an opportunity to share practical learning, highlight implementation journeys, and foster collaboration across clinicians, researchers, policymakers, and healthcare leaders.
Why should you participate?
- Position your work within a high-impact platform dedicated to translating research into measurable improvements in healthcare practice and outcomes
- Present your poster to a curated audience of 200–250 delegates, including leaders in research, clinical care, policy, and scientific publishing
- Engage with a multidisciplinary community and foster collaborations that can accelerate research uptake and impact
- Be considered for oral presentation within the main conference programme, recognising work of particular quality, relevance, and innovation
- Gain visibility within the BMJ network and be eligible for consideration for publication in a BMJ journal, subject to editorial and peer review, supporting wider dissemination and sustained impact of your research beyond the conference
How does call for posters work?
Step 1 – Submit your poster abstract: The submissions portal will be open until midnight IST on 30 June 2026.
Step 2 – Your abstract is reviewed: Once the submissions portal closes, all abstracts will be reviewed in line with the programme criteria.
Step 3 – Receive your result: You will be informed of the outcome by email by 31 July 2026. If your abstract is shortlisted, the email will also include detailed guidelines for creating your poster for display at the BMJ Research Forum in New Delhi along with registration form and poster upload link.
Step 4 – Complete your registration and upload your poster: If your abstract is accepted, you must register to attend in person and upload your final poster as per the shared guidelines. The deadline for registration and poster upload is 7 August 2026.
Step 5 – Prepare to showcase your project: Following your registration and upload, you will receive confirmation of your poster display along with details of onsite poster activities you can participate in during the conference.
