Dr Mehta is a Pediatrician by training and has 45 years’ experience in Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health. He was the Regional Adviser for Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health at the World Health Organization – South-East Asia Regional Office and supported 11 countries in in designing and implementation of these programmes. Dr Mehta also has experience in large scale initiatives for Nurturing Care for Early Childhood Development, Birth Defects, Quality Improvement. He has been awarded Fellow of Indian Academy of Pediatrics, Salzburg Global Fellow on Early Child Development and National Oration on adolescent health

Dr. Vijay Agarwal is a distinguished paediatrician, healthcare leader, and patient safety advocate. A graduate (1968) and postgraduate (1973) of Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, he has devoted over four decades to transforming healthcare in India. He played pivotal roles in the Pulse Polio Programme and the development of Delhi’s Centralized Biomedical Waste Management Scheme. As President of the Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organizations (CAHO) from 2017–2026 and now President Emeritus, he spearheaded national quality and leadership initiatives, training thousands of professionals. A recipient of multiple lifetime achievement awards, he continues to champion quality, patient safety, and healthcare leadership.

Dr Sanjeev Singh is a Medical Director at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Faridabad and Chief of Medical Services Amrita Kochi. He is a pediatrician by training, did his Masters in Hospital Management and PhD in Infectious Diseases. Prior to joining Amrita, he worked in WHO in a Disease Eradication Project. He attained fellowship in Healthcare Worker & Patient Safety from University of Virginia, Fellowship on Health Technology Assessment from Univ of Adelaide and Fellowship in Healthcare Quality at International Society for Quality (IsQua). He is Improvement Advisor to Institute of Healthcare Improvement (IHI), consultant to WHO on Regulatory, licensing, AMR and Infection Prevention. He is a Technical Advisor for State of Kerala for AMR and IPC. He is in the National Task Force for AMR guidelines group. He Chaired Research Committee at National Accreditation Board for Hospitals (NABH), presently member of Technical Committee at NABH and is a member of Technical Committee for Grading of hospital standards and Medical Value Travel at Quality Council of India; and is co- Chair at National Healthcare Committee at FICCI and CII Healthcare, North Zone. He was awarded Infection Disease Champion by BMJ, Heros of Infection Control by Association of Infection Prevention (APIC) in US and Best Practices in Infection Prevention by GOI and Global Impact Leader by Business World He is in the Governing Board of IIHMR and member of expert committee to work on AIIMS like institution in Jaipur. He has 130+ publications with h index of 31 and has 14 international and national research projects.

Dr. Abhay Bang is an internationally renowned physician, public health leader, and co-founder of SEARCH (Society for Education, Action and Research in Community Health), Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. Inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s philosophy and trained in Medicine (MD) and Public Health (MPH, Johns Hopkins University), he has dedicated his life to improving the health of underserved rural and tribal communities. Along with Dr. Rani Bang, he pioneered community-based healthcare models that transformed newborn, child, and women’s health in India and influenced global health policy. His research, published in leading journals including The Lancet, has earned numerous national and international honours, including the Padma Shri, WHO Public Health Champion Award, Global Health Hero, The Gates Keeper Award and recognition as a global health innovator.

Prof. (Dr.) Narendra Kumar Arora is a distinguished paediatrician and eminent public health expert, currently serving as President of AIIMS Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh. He has previously held key leadership positions as President of AIIMS Deoghar, Jharkhand, and AIIMS Patna, Bihar. Until 2007, he was Professor of Paediatrics (Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition) at AIIMS New Delhi, where he established the super-specialty of Paediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Dr. Arora served as Executive Director of The INCLEN Trust International from 2005 to 2025 and now continues as its Chief Scientist and Mentor. He also served as Executive Director of the Child Health and Nutrition Research Initiative (CHNRI) from 2010 to 2014. His career has been dedicated to advancing maternal and child health, infectious disease prevention, immunization, and public health policy. Internationally, Dr. Arora has contributed to several WHO expert bodies, including SAGE on Immunization, STAGE for Maternal and Child Health, GACVS, IAVG, and TAG-CO-VAC. Nationally, he has played a pivotal role in shaping India’s immunization strategy through his contributions to NTAGI and by chairing key committees during the COVID-19 pandemic. He has led the National Certification Committee for Polio Eradication since 2014 and the National Verification Committee for Measles, Rubella, and CRS elimination. Through his visionary leadership and sustained commitment, Dr. Arora has profoundly influenced evidence-based health policy, research, and health systems strengthening in India and globally.

He is a dedicated father who became a trailblazer in rare disease advocacy in India in 2007, inspired by his daughter, who lived with rare diseases and whose life continues to guide his work.

As the Co-founder and Executive Director of ORDI (Organization for Rare Diseases India), he has played a pivotal role in raising awareness and support for those impacted by rare conditions in India. His efforts have been recognized globally, earning him the Rare Champion of Hope Award in 2019 from Global Gene, USA, Ashoka Fellowship and Twice nominated to The Hindu Business Changemaker Award. Additionally, he serves as a member of the Central Ethics Committee on Human Research (CECHR) at ICMR (Indian Council of Medical Research) as a Layman. His contributions extend beyond ORDI, as he advises several Profit / non-profit organizations, leveraging his experience and passion to drive meaningful change in the rare disease community and beyond. Dr. Upasana Arora has been a central force behind the growth of Yashoda Group of Hospitals, including Yashoda Super Speciality Hospital, Kaushambi, and Yashoda Medicity, Indirapuram, for over three decades. As Managing Director, she brings strategic direction and a deep sense of responsibility to strengthening healthcare delivery across the group. With a strong academic background in education and political science, Dr. Arora brings a rare blend of structured thinking and people-focused leadership. Her approach has helped shape Yashoda into a trusted NABH-accredited multi-speciality healthcare network in North India, recognised for its commitment to quality, safety, and patient care. She is the first Indian to receive a Fellowship from ISQua (International Society for Quality in Healthcare) and has undertaken advanced training in healthcare leadership at Harvard Medical School. Her leadership is distinguished by a strong focus on ethics, sustainability, and continuous improvement. From promoting eco-conscious practices to enabling digital transformation and reinforcing patient-first values, Dr. Arora continues to play a defining role in Yashoda’s growth journey, including the expansion and strengthening of Yashoda Medicity as a centre of advanced, accessible healthcare.

Dr. Girdhar Gyani is currently Director General, Association of Healthcare Providers (India), which represents vast majority of hospitals pan India and works on  realizing Universal Health Coverage. Prior to this, Dr Gyani was Secretary General, Quality Council of India (2003-2012), an apex national body responsible for establishing national accreditation structure and promoting quality in all walks of life. One of his towering contributions has been in establishing and operating national accreditation structure (NABH) for healthcare for the first time in the country. NABH has been the single most important initiative bringing Patient Safety at the centre stage and provided boost to medical tourism.

Professor Jha is Executive Director at The George Institute for Global Health, India, Chair of Global Kidney Health, Faculty of Medicine, Imperial College, London and past President of International Society of Nephrology. He is an established clinician-scientist and has led many clinical trials, policy relevant community research and basic science research in the field of kidney disease and transplantation. Professor Jha is a recognised global expert on the burden of kidney disease and its socioeconomic impact on low-middle income countries. He advises the Govt of India as a member of Task Forces and Scientific Advisory Committees, is a member of the Core Group to develop National Health research policy and an Advisor to the WHO. He has led large-scale collaborative research projects in many countries and has a track record of translating research findings into changes in clinical practice and health, especially noncommunicable diseases. Prof Jha leads many research networks in India and globally and is regularly invited to make plenary presentations in major global and regional conferences. He has held leadership positions in International Transplantation Society, International Society of Peritoneal Dialysis and Asian Pacific Society of Nephrology. He has been recognized by the National Academy of Medical Sciences India, Royal College of Physicians of London with Fellowships. He has published over 500 peer reviewed papers, and 34 book chapters in a range of leading journals. Prof Jha regularly contributes to advocacy discussions with NGOs, multilateral organizations, consumer groups, civil society organisations and through lay press.

Dr. Garg, MD, Ph D, is Secretary Kasturba Health Society, Ex-Dean, Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sevagram. He is also Director of the Dr. Sushila Nayar School of Public Health and Director of the WHO Collaborative Centre for Research & Training in Community Based Maternal, Newborn & Child Health. He received the Best Teacher award from the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik for the year 2005-6, Commonwealth Medical Fellowship for one year at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, UK in 1989-1990, Fellowship of the National Academy of Medical Sciences (2003), Fellowship of Indian Association of Preventive & Social Medicine (1997), Fellowship of Indian Public Health Association (1994) & Fellowship of Indian Society for Malaria & Other Communicable Diseases (1987). He was also bestowed with the Sir Shriram Memorial Award ( by NAMS), Dhanwantari Oration(2003 & Dr. Harcharan Singh Oration (2007) by IAPSM and with Indian epidemiology Association Oration (2014). Besides he also delivered Ramamurthy oration for APIAPSM and Dr D N Pai & Dr MC Pathak Orations for Maharashtra IAPSM. He has written five books, Six chapters in books, published 22 monographs on priority public health issues and published more than 188 research papers in international and national journals. He was President of Indian Association of Preventive & Social Medicine in 2002. Dr. Garg has been awarded more than 90 research projects by WHO, UNICEF, PATH, USAID, GOI, FIGO, ICMR, INCLEN, NACO, BIRAC, Aga Khan Foundation, Population Foundation of India & UNFPA. He served as consultant to WHO (SEARO), DFID, CRS and various other international and national agencies on issues of public health concern. He also served as Chairman & members on various committees related to Public Health of Government of India, Government of Maharashtra, MCI, ICMR & WHO etc. He is Current Chairman, Programme Advisory Committee of National Institute of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi and also President, Voluntary Health Association of India.
