He is a dedicated father who became a trailblazer in rare disease advocacy in India in 2007, inspired by his daughter, who lived with rare diseases and whose life continues to guide his work. As the Co-founder and Executive Director of ORDI (Organization for Rare Diseases India), he has played a pivotal role in raising awareness and support for those impacted by rare conditions in India. His efforts have been recognized globally, earning him the Rare Champion of Hope Award in 2019 from Global Gene, USA, Ashoka Fellowship and Twice nominated to The Hindu Business Changemaker Award. Additionally, he serves as a member of the Central Ethics Committee on Human Research (CECHR) at ICMR (Indian Council of Medical Research) as a Layman. His contributions extend beyond ORDI, as he advises several Profit / non-profit organizations, leveraging his experience and passion to drive meaningful change in the rare disease community and beyond.
