MD, FAMS, FIAP, FIPHA Chief Scientist & Mentor – The INCLEN Trust International, New Delhi, India Prof. (Dr.) Narendra Kumar Arora is a distinguished paediatrician and eminent public health expert, currently serving as President of AIIMS Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh. He has previously held key leadership positions as President of AIIMS Deoghar, Jharkhand, and AIIMS Patna, Bihar. Until 2007, he was Professor of Paediatrics (Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition) at AIIMS New Delhi, where he established the super-specialty of Paediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Dr. Arora served as Executive Director of The INCLEN Trust International from 2005 to 2025 and now continues as its Chief Scientist and Mentor. He also served as Executive Director of the Child Health and Nutrition Research Initiative (CHNRI) from 2010 to 2014. His career has been dedicated to advancing maternal and child health, infectious disease prevention, immunization, and public health policy. Internationally, Dr. Arora has contributed to several WHO expert bodies, including SAGE on Immunization, STAGE for Maternal and Child Health, GACVS, IAVG, and TAG-CO-VAC. Nationally, he has played a pivotal role in shaping India’s immunization strategy through his contributions to NTAGI and by chairing key committees during the COVID-19 pandemic. He has led the National Certification Committee for Polio Eradication since 2014 and the National Verification Committee for Measles, Rubella, and CRS elimination. Through his visionary leadership and sustained commitment, Dr. Arora has profoundly influenced evidence-based health policy, research, and health systems strengthening in India and globally.
